A Practical Assistance Center for Adult Education Demonstration Programs through Interagency Funding and Cooperation. Final Report, July 1, 1972-June 30, 1973.
Morehead State Univ., KY. Appalachian Adult Education Center.
The Appalachian Adult Education Center has two major functions: (1) to serve the undereducated Appalachian through the initiation and continuation of innovative and effective adult education programs; and (2) to affect adult education programs nationally through technical assistance and dissemination of new knowledge in adult education. Projects conducted in FY 1972 were demonstrations of (1) rural community schools, (2) Right to Read programs, (3) home delivery of instruction by paraprofessionals, (4) learning centers, and (5) coordinating of services between public libraries and adult basic education programs. Knowledge gained from the demonstrations was disseminated nationally through articles, workshops, speeches, and technical assistance. (Author)
