The report is one of a series which supplements the overall report "Exploratory Study to Analyze New Skill Content in Selected Occupations in Michigan and the Mechanism for its Translation into Vocational Education Curricula". The present report presents detailed task analyses and results of employers skill requirements for auto mechanics. The purpose of the study was to develop information for curriculum development which could be used to reduce discrepancies between skills employers desire and those students acquire in vocational education.
