This program for intermediate band classes in the Vermilion Parish Schools bridges the gap between the beginning stages of instrumental music and the advanced level of performance. Grade levels are 6 through 9. In this guide, written by teachers, administrators, and supervisors, suggestions are given for scheduling, band method books, concert pieces, solos, and supplementary books for use at this level of musical achievement. The 36-week school year is divided into 6 units, with each unit briefly reviewing material previously covered, and introducing new activities.
