As a part of the unit materials in the series produced by the Australian Science Education Project, this teachers' guide is composed of four parts: introductory remarks, a core relating to bubbles and drops, options, and diagnostic tests. Materials are designed for students working at their own pace, either individually or in small groups. Behavioral objectives are given to facilitate students' acquisition of outcomes. Options are under the headings: Wet Water, Sticking Power, Wet and Dry, Solid-Liquid-Gas, Colored Attractions, Thick and Thin Liquids, Pattypan Particles, and "How Thin is Thin?". Also included in the guide are recommendations for use of the unit, hints on classroom organization, lists of equipment and audio-visual aids, keys to questions and tests, and a bibliography of references. The accompanying record book, which is intended for students to record their activities and write answers, includes a readiness unit designed for those who lack prerequisite knowledge about forces, models, and particles.
