The first in a series of leaflets designed for the dissemination of information on school building, this publication describes and summarizes the broad issues and problems facing those engaged in the provision of school building facilities. It is preceded by a short statement outlining the objectives and activities of the Programme on Educational Building. Innovations that affect school planning under discussion are new forms of schools, integration of school and community facilities, need for flexibility and adaptability, and evolution of educational and building technologies.
