Summarized are the outcomes of an 8-day conference held in Atlanta during April, 1973 on administrative planning for allied health occupations. A total of 86 participants from each of the eight states in Region IV, Department of Health, Education, and Welfare attended the conference. Activities included: (1) information dissemination discussions and demonstrations by key personnel in the health field, (2) reactions to the information and views of speaker by representatives of education and health agencies, and (3) small group sessions in which participants could interact directly with a key representative of an agency. From the formal and informal feedback regarding the effectiveness of the conference, it appears that similar conferences in other regions should be provided.
