The teacher's edition for the Intermediate Science Curriculum Study Level III unit entitled "What's Up" provides specific information useful for teachers in teaching the unit. The unit deals primarily with concepts of space and space travel. A brief introduction is provided dealing with basic ideas of rocketry, lunar geology, and earth-moon-sun system. Detailed instruction for each chapter are provided in the margins. The chapters are entitled "Up, Up, and Away;""What a Reaction!;""How Much is Needed?;""All Systems Are Go;""Creating Craters;""Peeks and Flows;" and "A Day on the Moon." There are nine separate sections called "Excursions" based on these chapters for additional understanding. Instructions for teachers are provided for each of the excursions.
