The teacher's edition for the unit entitled "Investigating Variation" in Intermediate Science Curriculum Study Level III, provides numerous suggestions for teaching specific activities included in the unit. The unit is aimed at selected aspects of measurement and analysis. The chapters included are "The Road Ahead;""Tallies and Tables;""Home on the Range;""How Do You Measure Up?;" and "Personalizing the Population." In addition, eight other topics are discussed under the title "Excursions" which are based on the chapters listed above and provide additional information about the concepts discussed. Detailed instructions are given in margins for all of these chapters and excursions.
