Interactive Instructional Designs for Individualized Learning.
Langdon, Danny G.
The definition and uses of interactive instructional designs are presented in this book. Eight examples are given of the variety of designs available to the classroom teacher and a chapter is devoted to each. The chapters describe the usefulness of the particular design, its operation, the design format, and the method for evaluating the outcomes. The designs discussed are: learner controlled instruction; the interactive lesson plan; the construct-as-you-go lesson plan; the adjunct study guide; the core package, a technique for reinforcing weak achievement areas; the tri-level study guide with attempts to account for student entry level knowledge at three levels; the audio-workbook that combines tape recorded instructions with written experience; and the interactive text that includes all the objectives, questions, and tests within a single text. The designs may or may not involve media. (MC)
