The purpose of the Mental Health Career Development Program (MHCD) is to recruit and develop talented professionals for major roles in the multidisciplinary Federal mental health effort at the National Institute of Mental Health and other agencies. This booklet is intended to assist MHCD members and their advisors in planning for the transition from training years to Experience Placements.
