This book is designed to help develop instruction in a vocational or technical field, according to procedures developed in the research laboratory and tested in the classroom. The steps involved in preparing instruction that can be demonstrated to facilitate learning are described. The main goal of the book is to describe the steps that must be carried out if one is to become as expert in the skill of systematic course development as he is in the practice of his own vocation or technical specialty.
