The first part of the paper focuses on concepts and ideas which can be used to discuss interface in any field or domain. For example, meaning of words "community" and "university" are sorted out. Attention is given to the idea of interface as expectations, goals, attitudes, purposes and behavior. In the second part, these same concepts are re-examined in the domain of medical and health services in a community with a university medical facility. Many issues are raised but no stand is taken. The paper is designed to stimulate thinking about what an individual in the "university" or in the "community" might do in reaching an interface. (Related documents are SO 004 018 and SO 004 019.)
