Educational Materials Workshops; Cooperation for Quality Education.
National Audio-Visual Association, Fairfax, VA.; Great Cities Research Council, Chicago, IL.
Producers of educational materials met with school administrators and teachers at workshops in ten cities to explore curriculum needs and ways of providing the most effective instructional materials. This report contains the findings of these cooperative sessions. It is divided into ten sections, one for each school district. Each section presents in outline form a summary of the needs and recommendations which emerged from the workshop. Ways that instructional materials can meet course objectives are stressed. Both general recommendations and specific content needs are presented for these curriculum areas: mathematics; science; social studies; language arts; foreign languages; fine arts; special education; adult, vocational, and practical arts; guidance services; and instructional materials and library services.
