The course, "Ideas of Western Man: Expressionism and Realism," involves the analysis of some predominant schools and man's changing thought through the study of literature. In studying Expressionism and Realism as they have affected contemporary American Culture, philosophy is emphasized, and painting, sculpture, and music are used for illustration.
