The Computer Operator's Manual is part of a set of 21 manuals (AA 001 009-001 029) used in APEX (Air Pollution Exercise), a computerized college and professional level "real world" game simulation of a community with urban and rural problems, industrial activities, and air pollution difficulties. The information in the manual is sufficiently basic to provide the reader unfamiliar with computers with the instruction necessary to get the program running. The APEX computer program (not included in manuals) is in Fortran IV and runs on an IBM 1130-2B computer or IBM 360-50 or higher series computer. The program utilizes the many "hands on" features of the computer, enabling the operator to interact freely with the system.
