This course, developed largely within the framework of units 13, 14, and 15 of the second edition of "A-LM French, Level 2," emphasizes development of basic audiolingual skills. Conversational topics permit the student to review his summer vacation. Principal elements of structure are expressions of quantity, pronouns--including those used independently of verbs, "y," and "en"--the passe compose, agreement of past participles, and the present tense of "prendre." Writing activities include sentence expansion and paragraph rewriting. Broad goals and performance objectives are suggested for listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; value and behavior patterns of French culture; and attitude development. (RL)
