The purpose in preparing this bibliography is to provide access to a sampling of thought, primarily from the United States, on the formulation of international environmental policy as of early 1972. An attempt is made to avoid items which focus on specific international problems, cataloging only those with a broader approach to the whole problem. Arrangement of entries is alphabetical by author, issuing agency, or title, depending upon which is most appropriate or useful. No subject arrangement or indexing is provided. One hundred thirteen titles are annotated in this compilation designed to enhance and update the background of persons interested in the issues and problems of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, Stockholm, June, 1972.
