Objectives and Procedures: The First Report of the 1971-72 Michigan Educational Assessment Program.

The six elements of Michigan's educational system analysis are presented. General objectives of the 1971-72 assessment program are to provide: 1) state level public information; 2) information to local school systems; 3) information to students and parents; 4) information regarding the process of education. 1971-72 changes in substantive and procedural aspects of the program are also discussed.
