The Four Corners Regional Commission (FCRC) is a state-Federal partnership, the purpose of which is to initiate long-range planning, provide data for specific plans, promote private investment, promote legislation, establish plans and program priorities, and initiate and coordinate economic developmental districts in 92 counties in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. In the 1971 FCRC annual report, activities are described in the following areas: vocational-technical education, community facilities, health, agriculture, minerals and fuels, tourism and recreation, transportation, human resources, water, and industrial development.
