Beginning Swedish Individualized Program: Svenskt uttal (Swedish Pronunciation).
Thorstensson, Roland; And Others
This volume, one of a series in an introductory course in Swedish language and culture, is designed for use in secondary school programs stressing development of audiolingual and basic skill concepts through individualized means of study. The course is divided into two stages: the introductory units establish the sound system and provide the student with a working vocabulary while the second stage is centered around the text "Learn Swedish." Materials are planned for presentation in a large group session to be followed by individual practice and small group conferences. This volume on Swedish pronunciation includes four units on: (1) introduction to pronunciation, (2) structure, (3) the Swedish alphabet, and (4) numbers. Dialogues are frequently used and are accompanied by exercises. (RL)
