Colour in School Buildings. (Fourth Edition).
Department of Education and Science, London (England).
This bulletin discusses the use of color in school buildings and describes those colors specifically designed for use in schools. Part I discusses the difficulty of using color in physical environments where many different and often conflicting needs must be met, encourages the systematic consideration of these needs, and suggests principles or criteria that could help color-scheme designers. Part II describes a specific range of colors -- the Archrome 2 -- a 54-color range considered to be most suited for use in schools. Eight extensive appendixes elaborate on the principles discussed and supply a variety of detailed illustrations. (Author)
