The purpose of this study was to prepare a descriptive analysis of the relationship existing between selected Nebraska school administrators and vocational education. Following a review of literature, 51 superintendents and 51 principals from three size categories of schools were randomly selected and personal and professional information was obtained through a demographic questionnaire. Role, attitude, and cognitive testing instruments were administered at eight sites and the results of the questionnaire and test instruments were summarized to give a description of the administrators. The personal and demographic data revealed that: (1) Most of the administrators had completed additional graduate courses beyond the master's degree, (2) Approximately three-fourths had no teaching experience in occupational education, (3) Principals indicated a higher feeling of obligation toward students than did the superintendents, (4) Superintendents were more positively oriented toward vocational education, and (5) Vocational concepts ranked lowest were labor unions, journeyman, and apprentice.
