In addition to the name, address, and telephone number of the organization, the directory briefly notes its officers, background, purposes, activities, chapters, publications, membership requirements, annual dues, membership benefits, and scheduled meetings. Several other communications associations are also listed for which only names and addresses were available at the time of publication. Twenty-eight communications centers are also listed, along with the name of their director, mission, subject coverage, and publications, and 32 other communication centers are listed by name and address only. An index to the various organizations and a short statement on the history and purpose of the Council of Communication Societies is also provided. (JY)
