In response to public request, information on American Indian education was prepared by the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. The document lists basic resources that would be of interest to a student or anyone beginning a study of American Indian education. Included are sources of information on Indians (e.g., state departments of education), a list of newspapers published mainly by Indian groups, and approximately 60 annotated bibliographic citations on American Indians (under subject headings).
