This book is one of a series prepared in connection with the Behavioral and Social Sciences Survey (BASS) conducted between 1967 and 1969. Directed toward governmental and educational policy makers, members of Congress and state legislatures, foundation officials, university administrators, and other interested persons, this report identifies and appraises the discipline's research and research-training needs and opportunities in the next decade.
