This four-part bulletin is a comprehensive source book of language learning theory and of activities, procedures, and instructional materials used in teaching Russian in levels 1 through 4. Major sections include: (1) the levels of foreign language instruction, (2) textbooks and audiovisual resources, (3) testing and evaluation, and (4) expanding horizons in foreign languages. The guide, favoring an audiolingual, student-centered approach to instruction, concentrates on the articulation of program content and of its scope at each level.
