Saving Natural Areas.
Buchinger, Maria
This manual serves as a handbook for those involved in the art of land saving. The various topics in the booklet are dealt with in great detail since little has been published on the preservation of natural areas in international publications. Most of the document is derived from articles, books, and publications published by, or describing the work of the Nature Conservancy and other land saving organizations in the United States. Aspects of land saving include a description of the natural areas, how they are designated, preserved, problems encountered, planning, administration, and management. The second part of the manual indicates how to form a land acquisition, and preservation organization, including by laws, board of governors, members, raising funds and cooperation with related organizations.
