A Goal Programming Model for Academic Planning.
Lee, Sang M.; Clayton, Edward R.
The rapid rate of technological development and the growing complexity of our society in recent years have renewed the awareness of the importance of higher education. The rapid expansion of the size of higher educational institutions as well as the increased demand for instructional quality emphasize the need for systematic and efficient resource allocation procedures on the part of university administrators. This study presents a goal programing model for an optimum allocation of resources -- given certain priorities and constraints -- in a college of an institution of higher learning. (Author/RA)
