Mirrors for Behavior, An Anthology of Classroom Observation Instruments, 1970 Supplement, Vols. A and B.
Simon, Anita, Ed.; Boyer, E. Gil, Ed.
The 13 classroom observation systems included in this two volume supplement to "Mirrors for Behavior" Vol. I-XV are designed to collect data about human interaction in the teaching/learning process. The dimensions of the communication process being measured vary from system to system and include: classroom structure (who talks to whom, when and how), levels of cognitive and affective experience, classroom management, pupil activities, as well as components of nonverbal expression. The supplement consists of sets of published and unpublished documents which give theoretical rationales and descriptions of the 13 instruments included. When available, research studies, user's manuals, and other supplementary materials are included. The previous 15 volumes in the Mirrors for Behavior anthology (ED 029 833 and ED 031 613) provide an overview of 79 observation instruments. (Author)
