The purpose of this research was to compare and analyze the number, rank, salary, and term of appointment of full-time faculty men and women of the University of Minnesota. The information was analyzed for the following comparisons: (1) the ratio of male/female faculty in the University at each rank and in each college; (2) the mean and median salary for the entire group, and by college, rank, and term of appointment; and (3) the percentage differentials by rank, college, and term.
