[Strategies for Utilizing Community and School Resources in a Comprehensive Supportive Services Program.]
Shack, Chrystine, R.; VanZandt, Bill
The utilization of supportive services to improve vocational education programs is reported from the community and school resources perspectives in the 2 speeches which make up this document. The first speech, delivered from the standpoint of community resources, mentions 2 variables which must be considered: the population to be served and the community agencies and programs which may be available. Eleven such resources which may be tapped are discussed. A model for studying the problem of supportive services and possible uses of same are presented for consideration. The second speech, dealing with school resources, examines group behavior in terms of coordinated activities for improving vocational education and identifies services in the school other than instructional services.
