The Proceedings begin with Dean Joshua Fishman's welcoming remarks. Dr. Norman Gordon introduces environmental deprivation and enrichment. Individual differences in the effects of early experience on later behavior are Dr. Donald Forgays' subject, whose paper is discussed by Dr. Lawrence Plotkin. Dr. Kenneth Clark analyzes the "cult of cultural deprivation." His discussant is Dr. Alfred Baldwin. Developmental theory and enrichment programs are reviewed by Dr. Martin Whiteman, and discussed by Mr. Kenneth Marshall. Summarization and discussion of the proceedings are by Dr. Edmund Gordon.
