In the summer of 1961 migrant children took part in an experimental education program held in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. The unique factor in this program was the utilization of local school children as catalytic agents in the classrooms. The migrant children were given 2 four-week programs which ran concurrently with the general 8-week summer school. A general evaluation indicates the success of the program and provides information concerning costs and attendance. An appendix indicates the efforts made by a local school during the regular school year to meet the needs of the migrant children. A related document is ED 002 662. (DK)
