A compilation of statistical tables on adult basic education in the United States includes data on the following, broken down by region and state: number of students; number of students by grade level; number of students completing programs; number of students by sex, ethnic group, race, and age; selected hours membership statistics; hours of instruction required to complete programs; number of classes housed, by type of facility; student attendance; students separated from programs, by reason; staff, by occupational function; number of workshops and personnel in preservice of inservice training; number of programed instruction classes; and selected financial statistics.
