The pupil personnel accounting system developed and used by Ohio's Franklin County schools is presented. Three main areas are described: (1) the construction, use, and maintainence of the student data base; (2) input, school and center processing, and output routines involved in progress reporting, and (3) procedures for dealing with pupil class assignment (scheduling) functions in secondary schools. Examples of materials and outputs obtained are provided. This study was funded under a Title III, Elementary and Secondary Education Act grant. (PS)
