How to House a Community College.
School Management, p98-109 April 1961
Questions about design, construction and special facilities needs of the community college are discussed by two experts on junior colleges. The content of the questions include use of the high school and/or the four-year college as a model for a community college. Academic, library, shop, technical-vocational, athletic, auditorium, student activities and administrative facilities are discussed. A second related article presents illustrations and discussion of six selected project designs for community colleges prepared by senior students of the architectural design class at Columbia University. The designs highlight some integrating concepts such as multicentered learning, departmentalized libraries, and individual learning. (HH)
