This study tests the following hypotheses concerning the job creativity of managers: (1) There is a significant relationship between psychological test scores secured on subjects 15 to 20 years ago and creative performance on the job today, (2) there is a significant relationship between biographical information secured from subjects at the time of the study and creative performance on the job today. The subjects were 143 graduating chemical engineers at the North Carolina State University from 1947 to 1951 who were administered a battery of tests. It is concluded that past performance and self-appraisal of one's own creativity are fairly good predictors of creative managerial performance.
