These descriptive information sheets have been compiled by the Clearinghouse for Self-Instructional Language Materials at the Center for Applied Linguistics. They are intended to provide potential program users and other interested persons with detailed information on available programed materials in English as a foreign language, English as a native language, reading, and the following languages: French, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and Thai. Each sheet list name and author of the text, the publisher, edition, and program availability, price, and other pertinent information such as the type of format, presentation device, program reusability, content and terminal objectives, program organization, response characteristics, student population, course level, prerequisites, completion time, suggested uses, tests of supplementary materials included with the program, and developmental research reports and other literature relating to the program.
