Information relative to population and employment is presented for use by the State Board of Education and the State Department of Education. Included are (1) an historical review of the State and its public education, (2) characteristics of the population such as origin, age and sex distribution, educational attainment, mobility, patterns, and income, (3) characteristics of the labor force such as number and employment patterns, and (4) population trends and projections for the State and urban areas for the period from 1960 to 1985.
