Organizing a Learning Center.
Davis, Harold S.
The organization and development of instructional materials centers (IMC's) as a part of a program of educational improvement is discussed. Analysis is made of the advantages, disadvantages, and organization of centralized IMC's, decentralized IMC's, and coordinated IMC's, with recommendations being made for their development. The operation of five successful IMC's on both the elementary and secondary levels is described with emphasis being placed upon each IMC's scope, staffing, materials, and integration into the school system it serves.
