Educational Parks.
Sine, David F.
NEA Journal, p44-47 Mar68
The development of educational parks, centralizing school facilities, has resulted in potential advantages and disadvantages, which are described by three educational specialists in terms of elementary education. Advantages include--(1) lower site costs, (2) better racial balance, and (3) greater flexibility. Questions raised concerned community planning, curriculum development and facility organization. Disadvantages mentioned were in comparison to neighborhood schools, transportation problems, home and cultural relationships, and depersonalization. (MM)
