A VISIT TO 200 FRENCH SCHOOLS AND DISCUSSIONS WITH MANY STUDENTS AND SOME 500 TEACHERS SERVED AS THE BASIS OF THIS REVIEW OF THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF FRENCH SECONDARY EDUCATION.
