With the relationship between individual learning styles and the effectiveness of the experiential approach, it was hypothesized that the effectiveness of the experiential approach, as measured by student perceptions and student grades, was a function of learning style compatability. Scores on the male and female scales of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory were compared for college students (N=525) to evaluate the claim that male scales should be used with female counselees.
