An Analysis of responses to the Spence-Helmreich Attitudes Toward Women Scale by the Loevinger-Wessler Stages of ego development is presented in this article. The ANOVA results show a clear trend for attitude scores of women to increase toward equality and choice as their ego stage increases. (Author)

College students' responses to Rotter's scale were factor analyzed, and smokers' exsmokers', and nonsmokers' factor scores were compared. The findings suggest the usefulness of the concepts of "alienation" and "alienation from one's body" in understanding life-threatening behaviors. (Author)

A group of students were matched on the basis of compatible birth order; another was matched on the basis of conflicting birth order. After a month's experience in a residence hall their compatibility was examined. Students with conflicting birth order were more compatible than those with the same birth order. (Author)

The contributions of several core variables to the white suicide rates in 24 Florida counties were examined. A prediction equation including age, crime rate, insanity, and alcoholism was found that accounted for 79 percent of the variation in the suicide rates across counties. (Author)

This study evaluates some aspects of the Women's Studies Program at the University of Maryland, College Park. Subjects were 429 undergraduate students. Results indicate that students who participate in these courses do develop an awareness of women's and men's sex roles. (Author/HMV)

The results of the present study suggested that PPVT and SIT IQs are not directly comparable to the WISC-R IQs when the moderate to low correlation coefficents are considered. In addition, the SIT appears to be more comparable to the WISC-R than does either Form A or Form B of the PPVT. (Author)

This paper finds that, in general, college students give lower ratings to professors with whom they have normative dissonance. It suggests that dissonance should be given more consideration, raising the possibility of "matching" students and professors. This would also increase the objectivity of student evaluations.
