The differences between clients who dropped out of counseling after the intake interview and clients who continued in counseling were examined. Subjects (N=87) were studied in terms of their attitudes and perceptions of counseling and the counseling center. Yalom's Q-sort questionnaire was administered to 13 groups and then item analized. Factor analysis identified seven major "curative" factors. Analysis of variance and correlation techniques showed that part of the variation in curative factor perception is related to characteristics of groups and/or their participants. (SE)

A 2X2X2X2 study tested the effect of a) nonverbal communication (NVC), b) verbal communication (VC), 3) race of communicator, and d) sex of perceiver on the perception of leadership.
