Carroll, James L.; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1984
Assessed the self-concepts of educable mentally impaired, learning disabled, and nonhandicapped children using the Student Self-Evaluation (SSE), Teacher Evaluation Scale (TES), and How I See Myself (HISM) test. The results suggested that handicapped children, as a group, have a lower self-concept than have nonhandicapped children. (JAC)

Investigated changes in subjective age in 323 older Mexican Americans and Anglo Americans. Results showed those whose subjective age increased from young or middle-aged to old were generally less educated, older, and in poorer health. Examines the degree of compatibility between the personalities of 22 self-reported child abusers and the target child singled out for abuse in the family.
