A Nuu-Chah-Nulth Theorem of Reality: Vessel for Deeper Truths in Social Work Education
Matthew C. Brower1
Journal of Teaching in Social Work, v45 n4 p677-683 2025
This article proposes that incorporating Indigenous North American fundamental worldviews into social work education could offer valuable insights. Highlighting the perspectives of Native American fundamental worldviews, which emphasize interconnectedness and responsibility toward all living beings, could aid in decolonization efforts through promoting Indigenous lifeway revitalization. The paper emphasizes the importance of integrating these worldviews into social work education to support Native American communities and address the harm caused by the neglect of their cultural knowledge.
