Incorporating Student Voice and Feedback to Improve Evaluation
Katy Myers
Learning Professional, v46 n3 p34-36 2025
Students have powerful but underutilized perspectives on the impact of educators' professional learning. When students are directly engaged in providing feedback, they can offer unique insights into how professional learning translates into classroom practice and affects their learning experience. Incorporating student feedback also helps educators refine their approaches to meet the needs of their learners better. This article discusses: (1) collecting student voice data to inform professional learning; (2) turning student feedback into actionable change; (3) measuring the impact of feedback-driven change; and (4) sustaining a culture of student voice.
