Analysis of results of an experimental program in which ninth grade students participated in systematic human relations training according to the Gazda model revealed significant training outcomes and significant sex effects in favor of girls. There are difficulties in expressing effect sizes on a common metric when some studies use transformed scales to express group differences, or use factorial designs or covariance adjustments to obtain a reduced error term. Accuracy of adult recollections of sexual abuse were compared for adults known to have been abused about 20 years earlier and matched controls. Results from 1,196 adults indicate substantial under-reporting, gender differences in reporting and accuracy, good discriminant validity, and predictive efficiency of self-reports for women. (SLD)
