New state or local science/technology "magnet" schools are being established throughout the country; many of these schools are receiving substantial corporate backing as well as donations of equipment and training. The Mt. Bethel Elementary School in Marietta, Georgia, cooperated with the Chattahoochee Nature Center to develop a nature trail in a neighboring wooded lot.
